Shane

The Best Dog Ever

I found Shane (or should I say he found me) when I was 22 years old, back in the early 2000s. I was working as a substitute teacher while I was getting my education degree and I had to do crossing guard duty at the end of a cold rainy November day. As I stood there helping the kids cross the street, a puppy with no collar and no tags wondered onto the school grounds. I picked him up and put his wet, muddy shaking body inside my jacket to warm him up. Long story short, he came home with me that day and stayed for the next 14 and a half years. He survived open heart surgery and cancer twice. Shane introduced me how amazing pities can be, and I've been in love with all the pittie breeds since.

Jax

Resident Handsome Boy

This handsome boy was the next pittie to join my family, I had said goodbye to Shane a number of years earlier and I was finally ready to invite another dog into my life. We found Jax through a local rescue adoption event, and my kids fell in love with him instantly. I wasn't even allowed to meet the other dogs I had signed up to meet that day. Needless to say, Jaxxy-Jax came home with us that day and has been been irreplaceable part of our family since. Whether he is curling up in his kitty brother Boot's cat tree (yeah, I don't understand it either) or practicing his full body lap flops, Jax is always doing something to make us smile and demonstrating why pitties are the best!

Chloe

SCO

(Chief Snuggle Officer)

Chloe just sort of happened one day. We had Jax for a while and he was just about a year old when my girlfriend, now fiancée, saw a post on Facebook about this poor little puppy girl who was living in an abusive situation. She was being left outside tied up with a rope around her neck all day and all night. The woman who made the post took her out of that situation, and was looking to rehome her as she couldn't keep her. My fiancée messaged the woman and arranged for Chloe to come over the next morning to meet Jax. When Chloe arrived we noticed she had scabs around her neck from the rope and you could see her ribs pretty clearly. None of that seemed to affect her too much and she and Jax fell into playing and chasing and wrestling right away. You could see that the two of them had fallen in love with each other instantly, and Chloe has been here ever since. The scabs have long since healed and she has filled out nicely. She is a testament to just how resilient, and ready to love these dogs are.
